Patrick Diggs has dedicated over 25 years of his professional career to the field of mental health, substance abuse, law enforcement, and community work. He has been a State of Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past 22 years and has maintained a private psychotherapy and consulting practice for most of his career. He has worked for County, State, Federal Government, and non-profit entities. In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Diggs has also been extensively involved in training law enforcement and educational institutions on topics related to mental health and trauma-informed care helping them develop trauma-informed policies and procedures.

Mr. Diggs’ passion for helping those who have experienced trauma has led him to work extensively with trauma survivors of all ages and backgrounds, especially those from marginalized communities. He is well-versed and certified in a variety of evidenced-based therapies and provides the highest quality care to his clients. Beyond his clinical work, Mr. Diggs was also heavily involved in developing responsible fatherhood programming in the early days of the local Health Families and Health Start programs. This specific work was the inspiration to found and develop a 501c3 (Empowered Parents) to focus on fathers and families. Mr. Diggs’ commitment to his clients and his community is unwavering. He continues to be a champion for responsible fatherhood, mental health and trauma-informed care and he is dedicated to improving the lives of those he serves.
