Sydney Griggs

Research Assistant

Raised in San Diego, California, Sydney Griggs serves as the council’s research assistant. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s office, Sydney was a legislative aide for the Pittman Law Group, where she assisted the governmental affairs team in client development, legislative research, and messaging. Sydney graduated summa cum laude from Florida A&M University, one of the preeminent historically black colleges in the nation.

During her time at Florida A&M, Sydney participated in academic organizations such as the J.W. Hatchett Pre-Law Society and Lambda Alpha Epsilon. Additionally, through Florida State University College of Law, Sydney developed an interest and aptitude for the legal field by being selected to participate in the Donald J. Weidner Summer for Undergraduates program. Currently, Sydney is studying for the law school admission test (LSAT) with the goal of attending law school in the future. Sydney lives in Tallahassee, FL where she enjoys the local parks, her proximity to Florida’s beaches, and trying out local restaurants in her free time.
