Justine Patterson was appointed to the Council in 2018 by the Secretary of the Florida Department of Corrections. She currently serves as the Region IV Director for Community Corrections. She began her career with FDC in 1988 as a Correctional Probation Officer and rose through the ranks. She was appointed as the Regional Director of Region IV Community Corrections in April 2016. Region IV consists of six Judicial Circuits, Circuit 11 Miami-Dade, Circuit 15 Palm Beach, Circuit 16 Marathon (Keys), Circuit 17 Broward, Circuit 19 Ft. Pierce, and Circuit 20 Ft. Meyers. Mrs. Patterson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bethune-Cookman University and a Master of Science Degree from Columbia Southern University in Criminal Justice.
